Chevron Kindle & Camera Strap Cover

I gave some pizazz to my Kindle Fire Case and my DSLR Camera strap by making slip covers with Chevron Fabric.

I love my Kindle Fire. It fits great in my purse and I can read my favorite book The Child Whisperer, connect and follow up with Pinterest or Facebook and it keeps bored kids entertained with a game why we sit and wait in carpool lines or sporting events for their older Sisters.

Toddler Tip Towel Bib

Let’s face it bib’s can be expensive to buy and when my kids were toddlers it was hard to find nice big bibs. A friend made me bib’s made out of a tip towel or tea towel that were my favorites and when I saw these cute towels in the Dollar Spot at Target on clearance I decided to give it a try.  I bought these several years ago in the spring when my niece was a newborn and just now finally getting around to making them for her (she will be 2 in a couple of weeks) and now she has a younger brother. Truth be told I found them in the bag still when I was cleaning and moving my sewing stuff around…that’s a way to remind yourself of old project’s to finish!

Valentine Heart Felt Garland

I’ve seen Valentine heart felt garland pictures floating through Blog Land and decided to tackle this a Valentine Décor Project for my home.  It was super easy and inexpensive to make.  I’ve seen it used for a very cute photography prop for Valentine pictures with the kids or you can decorate with it like I did. There are so many variations you could use with colors and even size or shapes of hearts. I stuck to the basics of 5 colors and 1 size of heart shape.

Embellished Baby Gift’s

Baby Girl Gift 001
I have a friend having a baby girl and I had so much fun embellishing onesies and simple baby clothes for her gift.  I know she really likes Cheetah Print and I just happened to have had some flannel Cheetah fabric in my fabric stash.

Baby Girl Gift 002
I was able to make a simple flannel receiving blanket, burp cloth and embellish a heart on the onesie and little pair of matching cotton pants.
I really was having fun so I made a few more combinations.  I love the colors for a baby girl born in the Fall.  On these 2 sets of pants I put the embellishment on the bum like a pocket.
I used fusible iron on adhesive like I did on the baby boy tie onesie here and then I also stitched around each embellishment with my sewing machine. I am really getting the hang of embellishing and it doesn’t take me long to whip something up.
Something must be in the water because we’ve known a lot of people having babies lately… glad to be on the giving side and not receiving in this case!
Here’s another Baby Boy Tie Onesie I just did for another gift.
